Can you tell me the title of this children's book? . . .?
I remember reading this children's picture book many years ago, and now I can't figure out the title. We got it from the library. There are 2 people -- either a child and an adult, or a younger and an older child, I can't remember. Somehow they end up in a famous art museum after hours -- at least, I think it's after hours, no one else is around. They see Renoir's painting of a girl with a hoop (and old fashioned toy). I think the painting comes to life -- somehow the kid gets hold of the hoop and takes off through the museum playing with it. When it's time to leave, he leaves it in a landscape painting called Mortlake Terrace by J.M.W. Turner. The book is a story, so therefore, fiction, though I think many libraries may have it in the art section, non-fiction, because it does portray many famous paintings. If anyone can tell me the title and maybe the author of this book, I would appreciate it.
