Starting a photography business...?
What is an easy, fast, cheap (preferably free) way to get my photography business moving? Really, all I'm looking to do right now is get noticed, get a few jobs, and build my client base.. oh, and build my portfolio (an ongoing expedition).
Here's some more info on the type of photography I do if anyone has any specific ideas for how to get started and be successful:
I'm actually still in college (Marketing and Management major).. I'm open to suggestions on taking photography classes. Online, also, even though I'm still a little iffy about that.
I do concert photography, landscape, and possibly some wedding portraits (I have a friend that wants me to photograph her wedding, so we'll see how that works out)
My sister does portraits (helping models develop their portfolios)
So yes, I need lots and lots of advice on this because I'm going crazy!
write a marketing plan, write a business plan - implement them
hows your photography? start studying, do night classes or day classes do all that you can, if you start doing jobs and your work is below par you wont last long in the bizzo
