What's the rule of thumb for how much to spend on landscaping?
I need to landscape my home - front and back but don't want to over spend. what do the experts say on how much to put into the landscaping? what % of the value of the home?

The answer to your question is, as much as you can.
Pouring money on your yard only adds value. But on the other hand, you can't spend more than you make.
Is eating important to you? HMMmmm....
My answer is this. Pay more attention to your cash position, because your lawn will always come second.
