
I Need Help with my Resume?
I need some help with writing a resume. I have an associate's degree and am currently enrolled at a university heading into my senior year with a major in History. I am trying to get an entry level job or even a summer job and was wondering what to include on my resume as far as education and work experience goes. I have no real professional work experience (only customer service and work in a restaurant as well as landscaping) and I was wondering what key points I should include in my resume. Also, I was wondering if I should include my GPA on my resume as well as any extra curricular activities I may have had throughout my lifel such as sports and help in the community.
I have read that I should use the functional resume format.

You can find resume formats in Microsoft word that only take a second to make. I would start with one of those
I would suggest something like this:
Full Name, AS
Address
City, State, Zip
Phone
Email (if it's not your name, it shouldn't be your email... don't use something like NFLfan@yahoo.com- that's very unprofessional)
Professional Profile: (fill out with specifics about you and your experience/object)
Education:
College, Ctiy, State
Bachelor of Science, History
2010-Present
Community College, City, State
Associate of Science, History
2006-2008
Skills and Qualifications: list skills, qualifications, awards, trainings
Work Experience:
Joe's Diner, City, State
Waitress
2008-2010
Bob's Landscaping
Landscaper
2006-2008
William Lawrence - Landscaping, Constuction
