Panasonic TC-P50VT25, Great Picture With The Perfect Price.
I purchased this Panasonic TC-P50VT25 to go into 3D, mostly for 'Avatar', although I now own several other 3D titles. This TV replaced some 50" Hitachi I've had for around 4 years.
The display quality is just amazing. It is actually much brighter and crisper with more detail and contrast in comparison to the TV it replaced, just about the most is the same tv screen size and resolution. Setup/installation was very easy- this fit on my existing wall mount with no problems, and it weights about half nearly the older Hitachi. It's about 1. 5" thinner than the old Hitachi too. If you do not want to wall-mount it all, it also comes having a nice swivel stand.
The TC-P50VT25 has the many inputs I think anyone would want from an HDTV, including 4 HDMI inputs which have been ALL 3D enabled. The styling looks great in your stand or on the particular wall. It has a glare filter at the screen that cuts truck's window and glare from location lights way down. At my wall, watching movies inside of a dimmed room, the dimly lit gray bezel disappears. My last TV got a silver bezel this just stood out quite frequently.
3D performance is fantastic. What little ghosting I am able to find (and that's in need of it) is actually on the same as I've noticed within 3D cinemas. I looked at demos of the major brands' 3D offerings during a retail store, and all the Panny just blew individuals away. "Full HD" 3D can be full 1080P 3D. A great many others reduce the 3D resolution given that they can't drive enough pixels easily enough. This is particularly true with the LCDs. Plasma is probably MADE for content that fit this description, and I feel LCDs will always be playing catch-up. One of my favorite adventures when I have acquaintances over is hit Pause in a very really good 3D market. You can walk right roughly the TV and the scene it seems to move with you- it sounds like a hologram. The "wow" factor (elements manage to jump off the screen) is in addition superb. A good movie for this is really 'Despicable Me'.
It contains a THX certified mode, and uses RealD 3D technology (although not the same passive RealD used during cinemas. It also has VieraCast (Internet-enabled TV) for people with an available wired interact connection.
I only get two issues, and I didn't feel we were holding worth dropping the star rating for:
Like all plasma sets- gas 4 free : has a noticeable buzzing noise. I've either gotten accustomed to it that it would not necessarily bother me anymore, or it has slowly gone away since the TV breaks-in. I don't notice the application now unless I placed my ear right up to it.
The Panasonic TC-P50VT25 I purchased came with 1 wide range 3D glasses. I also bought typically the Avatar 3D combo-pack which came with two more. They will be two different styles (1st in addition to 2nd generation), and I find both advisors very uncomfortable. My friends don't even think they are at-all, it is therefore probably just me. I'm tinkering with some universal glasses and therefore the Panny glasses actually consists of different sizes too- so i may also try this.
All-in-all: I love this unique TV and recommend it to everyone.
A few bits of 3D advice if you're just looking into this approach:
If you are selecting this for 3D- you want to buy a "High Speed" ranked HDMI cable. This is the ONLY rating you want to look for. You have to use a high speed cable web page standard cable can't send data fast enough intended for Full-HD 3D.
While it is wise to buy the same brand to take advantage of distant features (VierraLink), you aren't required to buy the same brand BD player for the reason that TV. Any 3D BD player will attempt to work with this TV. I'd be sure that it is 3D "out for the box" and it does not just say "3D Capable".
For people with a HT receiver- be sure it does "3D Passthrough" (check with manufacturer) and be sure to use high speed HDMI cables to and with the receiver. If you don't- just run an excellent speed HDMI cable in the BD player to the television, and run an optical wire from BD to beneficiary.
