Landscape edgers?
I need to use an edger of some sort to define a flagstone walkway...but I am hoping there is an edger of some sort that is water permeable. I'm probably going to fill the gaps between the stones with a gravel of some sort. I want the edging to hold in the gravel, but allow water to pass through for drainage. Any ideas?
A border of bricks or rectangular stones would allow drainage and would provide a nice look. Remember that the purpose of edging is not only to define the edge of the walkway, but to keep other plants from wandering into the walkway, particularly plants that spread by their roots. A solid edging will accomplish this better than a porous one.
I use granite blocks for my edging. Once in a while, I have to pull grass out of my beds.. no big thing and the beds do drain.
Good luck!
