Describe the location of houses in the San Andreas fault?
for science we have to come up with our own 'company' and try to sell earthquake safe houses on the San Andreas Fault.
for one paragraph we have to write about the location and what the landscape is like...but im not sure what exactly to write...
so far i have this...
The houses would be located on the San Andreas Fault in California. In this location the terrain is very hilly with large basins. This is because large mountains were formed when the fault moved. We are encouraged to build homes here because we have a way to prevent buildings from being damaged. On April 18, 1906 there was an earthquake that was felt in most of the state. We would want people to buy houses from our company so if this ever happens again they will be safer.
but i want to describe the terrain (landscape) more.
any help?
The fault runs thru most of California. From very dry/desert like southern California to the forested coastal areas around the San Francisco peninsula.
The fault impacts a greater population on its northern end so you might want to focus your attention there.
