What is the best time of day to take landscape pictures? And the best procedure?
I love taking pictures and am looking for new tecniques. Thanks in advance.
The best time would be around sunrise or sunset (the golden hours).
I like to get as much variety as I can... the lighting and colors change pretty quickly around this time.
Here is my procedure:
Photograph 15 min before sunrise, at sunrise, 15min after sunrise, 30 min after sunrise, 45min after sunrise, and 1 hour after sunrise
or
Photograph 1 hour before sunset, 45min before sunset, 30 min before sunset, 15min before sunset, at sunset, and 15min after sunset.
Also remember to bracket your exposures and use a tripod. If you wish, you can also combine your images later to create an HDR photo. I'm sure you'll come out with beautiful results. Good luck!
