Copper snake in backyard?
Found a foot long snake under a large brick stone in my yard. It was a solid deep reddish copper color no design and off-white underbelly. I have seen copper-heads, but do not believe this is one and can't find pictures on internet to match. Live in North-east Texas. Anyone have a clue on any other type of snake it could be? Very concerned due to I found it in backyard where niece and nephew play.

Maybe a Pine Wood Snake or a Red Rat Snake, both non venomous snakes. The Red Rat snake usually has markings though. Those are two you might do an image search of. Hope that helps.
