I have one more question about purchasing a camera?
I have asked a few questions already and you guys have been great. I've been debating between the Canon SX130is and the Fujifilm Finepix S1800. The Fuji is currently on sale and is $50.00 less than the Canon, and I really like the 18X zoom.
I went to a "Visions" store tonight and the girl who was helping me (who, frankly, didn't seem to know a whole lot about cameras) made it really clear that the Canon is superior in every way as far as features and quality go. The ONLY advantage to the Fuji is the extra zoom, according to her.
The Canon's that have higher zoom are out of my budget. I plan on taking mostly outdoor landscape photos, with some indoor pics as well.
I'm SO CONFUSED! Can somebody please help me put this thing to rest? I really need some help here because I am not very learned when it comes to camera's. I just want a camera that is easy to use and takes nice photos's indoors and out and has zoom.
Well I have owned cameras by both Canon and Fuji.. They are both good products in the price range you have set for yourself. I personally would go with the Fuji because Fuji gives you more camera for the money.
Make sure your have a ten day return policy, keep everything in perfect condition for returning, box, instruction book (do not write in it) and warranty card (do not send it in).
Take some pictures the same day. Take your memory card to a ONE HOUR local film processor. Have an 11x14 print made (about $4) of any shot that is sharp. Results: if you like the print keep the camera, otherwise return it.
